New light and efficient NTN tele boots??

Any news of Scarpa or other brands new offering in terms of NTN boots??

AT boots have become so advanced, ..shouldn't we see some of these soon with a second heel, bellows and tech inserts?

Release winter season 24/25… maybe into 25. MSRP $899. That’s the word on the street at least.

$3,000 for a basic set up is going to be the norm. At least most people can get about four or five seasons out of a rig, which means somewhere on the high side of $10,000 for 20 years of pure skiing bliss. Multiple skis, bindings, and spare liners might push this figure closer to $15,000 however.

~200 grams lighter than TX Pro it is replacing (TX Comp will also be gone) and much better range of motion. It is no F1 though. Scarpa will probably see sales of the new TX Pro and then decide if there is a market for a lighter or burlier boot.

People keep saying this and I just don’t see it. I’m actually more pessimistic about the future of tele after this boot “announcement” than I was before it leaked. I don’t think scarpa is thinking this is a market test, I think they are trying really hard to get everyone who tele skis onto a single boot. And benchmarked against current offerings it looks great—is lighter than every current tele boot on sale, better ROM than every tele boot, compatible with all modern tele systems. But… it’s 150-200g heavier than all but one AT boot on the market, rumors are the flex is tuned for high (and somewhat hingey) stiffness and the target is people who are looking for freeride like performance with this being stiffer and taller with more lean than current tx pros.

As such, I think it’s not going to be what most current folks are looking for (there’s already a renewed rush to secure 15 year old boots (that most think flex better and are are the same weight or lighter). I also don’t think it will interest anyone who isn’t currently committed to tele. It’s moving against the trends in skiing (where people are skiing big lines on lighter and lighter gear—“rec race” stuff is being used all over). So it kinda feels DOA to me, sadly as neither meeting the market requirements for current or future skiers.
