DOWNHILL SKIING QUESTION

Garmont Delerium AT Ski boots
Anybody use these boots for downhill?

(looking to upgrade from my Lange XRi (pink panthr) I've had since like 1990?

I seek a lighter boot for downhill that will last the next 30 years as my Lange XRi's did.

IIRC this boot was much heavier than modern options and much looser fitting than a traditional Lange.
I think you would be way better off with a a more modern boot.

Most modern Langes do have a much more upright cuff angle which I feel is a plus. If you need a walk mode, any of the Lange Xt series will be a better choice.

If you don't need a hike mode look at the Nordica Pro Machine or Lange RX models.
