How many of you ski with your boots in "Walk" mode?
How many of you ski with your boots in "Walk" mode?
Something I've been wondering about....
I'd say I ski 90% of the time in walk mode with all of my set ups. On piste or going mach 3 I switch my boots to ski.
I'm on T1s with a variety of skis. Had Syner-Gs previously and skied those primarily in walk mode, too.
I guess this is more relevant to those of us skiing plastic boots with a walk mode and not the XCD crowd so much, but what do you guys do?

Depends on whether you're asking whether I do it intentionally.

I accidentally had only one boot in walk mode skiing this weekend and was thinking "Wow, I've got a little more off season rust than I thought!" Felt much better after that was squared away...mugglesport wrote:Depends on whether you're asking whether I do it intentionally.

Permanent walk mode.

I am on the list of always in walk mode. On rare occasion (miserable icy conditions), I flip the switch to ski mode.

VERY cool man...anrothar wrote:Permanent walk mode.
(As an aside- how have you made out with your redesign of the Asnes USGIs?)
Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.

Haven't even gotten around to it yet. Very busy work season, nasty case of shingles and laziness. I have successfully redesigned my belly into a more round shape though....

Very sorry to hear about the shingles dude- awful- I have watched my father and a friend go through that painful ordeal.

T-race and in walk mode unless I'm actually racing.
