Squirrely... ok. I thought that more sidecut created drag and was therefore a bit slower than having no/less sidecut. What I mean is picture that 2d shape pushing through snow vs a parallel ski.
Oh yeah, I see what you mean. I think for our uses, in the BC, unconsolidated snow, it's going to be unnoticeable. We're not racing in tracks here.
regarding the Sverdrup:
there is noticeable resistance at the tips in deep snow. but there's been so much so snow here that i feel that resistance even skiing the FT62. on consolidated snow or in shallow powder, these skis are fast...pick up speed incredibly fast going downhill. no drag and very stable. In good conditions, I'm skiing these in NNN BC almost like a downhill setup with plastic boots.
hello: anyone know where to source otto sverdrups (210s) in the usa, or for shipment to the usa? thanks for any tips.
you are unlikely to get these skis in US for a long time. Order them from europe with the bindings and have them mount it if you already have matching boots or plan to buy boots as well.

i'd give that a shot. any recommendations on good european sellers to deal with?

Varuste is fast and good. good prices. they have 205cm. no sellers have 210cm. you may want to email them ask about it or email Asnes directly. trying to get skis in december can be difficult. I usually buy skis between April and Oct.

I had to call my credit card company. They asked some basic information and the order went through.
