Picture of the week
Re: Picture of the week
just came across a photo of myself in Hoosier Pass, south of Breckenridge, CO, that would have been from 1993 or so. Ski bumming was not for me in the end, but I'm glad I went out there and checked it out.

I had those skis with those bindings, what a great rig.

NO! not at all! In my case, you just end up marrying one! life is good!Please... Don't tell me we stop loving tele-girls with ponytails as we grow older...?!?
as for the setup, yes, Tua Cirques, Rivas, and Asolo laceups (Snowpines?). I had some awesome days with that rig. I remember one run in particular inbounds at Breckenride with this setup, though I had Chouinard/BD pins on there instead of the Rivas (I was going for the ultra-simple, purist, lightweight setup!). I vividly remember dancing just right on the balance points coming down a steep section of powder. Total zen moment. Crazy how we can remember really epic moments like that so long after the fact. it was over 20 years ago, but I can still picture those 10 seconds of life very clearly.
glad you dug the photo!

Why the long-ass poles, is that the rules?
