Re: The Ski Lite / XCD thread
Of course BBTF is my all time favorite movie... What do you think?
PLEASE get me a pair of those old wooden skis w/edges!!
I've been looking for a pair for decades... But they're impossible to find here under 500$... While they are really cool hanging on the walls of hip restaurants, I wanna SKI them!!
I don't care much about the skis... But the law is very strict when it comes to boots: No plastic allowed in the woods. Period.
Plastic boots just don't fit in the woods.. It's like people watching television while camping. Or running with FiveFingers in the city... Or listening to black metal while doing Tai Chi... Or eating veggie burgers at Burger King...
After 3 weeks of powder skiing here, I'm having WAY more fun on the 99mm epochs than on any other skis. I can only imagine the fun it must be with something like 80 or 70mm... Gee I just got a check in the mail... Anyone with a pair of Eons, Glittertinds or S-Bound for sale?

Yeah TM another great week here!
Those Odysseys look cool... Well, that's one thing I'll never understand about manufacturers. Come on, they know we can't try the ski before we buy. We can't touch it, we can't feel the flex, we can't feel how it turns. The only thing we can base our purchase on is two simple things: Size and weight. It's a backcountry ski, weight matters more than anything else...
You don't even care telling how much your skis weight? Sorry, I'm not buying. I don't have time to translate some obscure reviews in Russian to find out the actual weight. That really sucks no?!? A lot of manufacturers don't mention weight on their website and catalogs... While everything is based on light weight for some other companies...

Re: The Ski Lite / XCD thread
5.5 lbs... Not bad, but I was expecting a bit less for 90mm... Maybe if I find a beaten up pair somewhere...
Wish I could afford Trab's Attivos or Garas... (1500-1800g a pair) or Fischers RCXs at only 1300g...
