All good suggestions above, it's tough to go wrong.

My 162cm: Voile Traverse (3pin + cable w/ 10mm riser)
174cm: Voile Switchback X2

Happy with both! I am going to remount my 174's 2cm back from recommended, however. The tail is so wide and they are more downhill oriented, it'll help balance the ski in powder, from my experience.
Hi Woodserson,
I’m considering the Kom 174 and I was wondering about the mounting recommendations that don’t seem to care about boot centerline. I have 8.5/42 Excursion boots and was wondering if I needed to mount the bindings back a little like you are suggesting. I’d install voile traverse and use them for powder mostly.

I’d appreciate your thoughts
Mounting on the KOM's is based on pinline, not boot center, so it kind of keeps the Ball-of-Foot right around the same location give or take. I think I am going to mount mine a little back mostly due to the wide tail and that I use them to go up and then back down. Nils has often said he liked the forward mount for trail-breaking in deep snow, and it does make the ski super easy to turn, but 2cm back shouldn't hurt. You can always try and then move it if you don't like it.

Be sure to use the measured distance as published on the website, I've found some variation on the topsheet in terms of pinline location (there's a stamped arrow)

I came across a pair of F3’s the previous owner softened up quite a bit. Going to try them with TTS on my Koms this year.
