Free entry into Russia for Westerners
Re: Free entry into Russia for Westerners
Are you sure all your information is correct before calling others out on disinformation? (Hint, wikipedia is NOT a reliable source) Like I said, there's a lot of information out there, who knows what's right and what's wrong. Reminder that we still don't know who blew up that pipeline, so I'll wait and watch this all play out before we start worrying about who will face "varying degrees of justice after the war". Plenty of countries have invaded other countries with varying consequences in historical public record ahem United States of America, the largest financier if this current war. Let's be realistic, they don't always end up on the right side of history(sorry Montana, just an opinion)

Re: Free entry into Russia for Westerners
It is not too hard to detect the Russian disinformation, as it is pretty far out there. The western propaganda is more subtle, but unfortunately seems necessary to keep up support for Ukraine.
It might be that some Ukrainians blew up the pipeline, and it might be that Valerij Zaluzjnyj knew about it. It would not be the smartest when they are dependent on western support and I don't support it, but I can understand if they did it. There are also some thing that points to Russia doing it, but I don't know. Hopefully the truth comes out in the end.
US is the greatest threat to the world since it is the strongest, thus the dysfunctional political environment is of great concern to us in Europe and the rest of the world. The Iraq war was not a just war and I have never supported it, even though Saddam was a bad ruler and the Iraqi people deserved better.
The Libyan civil war was not the Wests best moment either, but when different countries support different regimes then we get the current situation. There are many other countries suffering similarly. If both the West and China/Russia/Iran could support the democratic regimes in countries and let the people there decide themselves, then hopefully the situation could improve and the most people could have good lives. It is not possible in the current climate, and many people are suffering from it. I was hopeful after the Arab Spring that the situation for those living there would improve, but alas:

Some in North America can say they do not care about and want to sacrifice Ukraine, but here in Europe the war is too close for comfort, so we are grateful for the support from them.

Re: Free entry into Russia for Westerners
I think we all agree on lot of things more than we disagree but I will add this point. When saying that America is the greatest threat to the world, I'll remind you that they certainly have the greatest control over NATO and henceforth have influence over a large umbrella of countries. All of this opposing Russia. I'm sure you can see why some see the lines between "good" and "evil" being blurred. Like you said, a lot of that money funding this shit is getting lost in western arms producers, and I won't even bring up who gets the rebuild contracts when the smoke clears in Ukraine. Of course, that could all be misinformation. I didn't check wikipedia

At least Ukraine is moving in the right direction, unlike Russia. I am sorry for you and will refrain from name-calling.

Suspending free elections, outlawing opposition parties and silencing critics is the right direction? You hace shown your true colors, Nazi scum.

most westerners have no idea what Ukraine is all about.. everyone is brainwashed and ignorant to the truth that is hidden from us all...
but yeah Ukraine is far from going in the right direction, its people are destroyed and has gone off the rails, cucking for NATO/UN.

Re: Free entry into Russia for Westerners
Thank you. That is the usual Russian designation on anyone supporting Ukraine or opposing Russia.
Elections are hard to hold when your neighbor is attacking, killing and destroying your country, and there is both legal reasons as well as a strong support in Ukraine for postponing the elections:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Next_Ukra ... l_election
Outlawing parties financed by Russia and parroting their talking points is not strange:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oppositio ... 4_For_Life
In the West sites like the Trotskyist World Socialist Web Site, wsws.org:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Socialist_Web_Site
and Russian mouthpiece dailytelegraph.co.nz you linked to previously are allowed, but unfortunately they influence the minds of weak individuals.
Criticism of the government in Ukraine and foreign press is allowed in Ukraine and the West, unlike in Russia where they are imprisoned.
Yes, having your larger neighbor invading, killing and destroying you is not good for your country, but Ukrainians think the alternative is even worse. Getting support from the West and NATO is paramount for Ukraine to keep as much of their freedom as they can.blitzskier wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 11:30 ammost westerners have no idea what Ukraine is all about.. everyone is brainwashed and ignorant to the truth that is hidden from us all...
