Did The New TXPro Just Drop?

Ha ha…. So finally the TX pro is lighter than the T2 !! I’ve been happy with T2 and Switchbacks.

Might eventually switch to NTN now……. Meidjo with release……

Could get spendy though!

I just skied a Garment Excursion for the first time yesterday. These were my wife's boots , and were in my garage unused for 30 years but now fit with a new Long Intuition liner. They're softer and lower than T4s but they seemed to handle the downhill just as well, maybe even better. It's a shame they don't make them anymore. A perfect XCD boot IMO that would add to the popularity of XCD if they were available.

Size 27 weighs 5.5 lbs. That's a half pound lighter than my Asolo leathers.

The weight is one factor. The increase in range of motion is very substantial, and another reason for the excitement. The big question mark is how it will flex??? You can find weight and ROM on a spec. sheet. Flex is entirely subjective, if a large enough majority like it, the boot should sell well. I’m sure there will be people that will not like it.

When you mention range of motion, is that in walk mode?
I don't remember the exact difference in flex between the Pro and comp, but I'm thinking it's 110 Vs. 125. Once broken in, I thought the boots were pretty close in forward (bellows) flex, but the boot sole may be more resistant to torque twisting it.

Where have you seen the specs?
Given that I'm now on the Outlaw X, I'm considering going back to the comp. Do you know if Scarpa is discontinuing that as well and consolidating to the new Pro as the only model available for NTN?

@Montana St Alum Yes, what I am calling range of motion, I am referring to walk mode. As far as the TX Comp, Dostie said it is being discontinued. The guys that like the Comps, on BCT are buying new pairs of Comps now. They mention a couple of Euro retailers, if you needed names I could search it up for you.

Thanks, I guess it makes more sense to go the new Tx Pro route, rather than the current comp. But I might hit you up for that info. It sounds intriguing.

Thanks, I guess it makes more sense to go the new Tx Pro route, rather than the current comp. But I might hit you up for that info. Toward the end of his review, he mentioned not being able to get "knee-to-ski" as much. I'm guessing the bellows will soften a bit, but I'm not sure how that will ultimately affect the bellows ROM.
