Re: Bishop Bomber
The new owner of Bishop is in Edwards. One of the Bishop team can meet you on the hill or we can set it up through Alpine Quest. The team has a bunch of options for skis with Bishops. Send me a PM and we can talk details.El Scotto wrote:Where? Alpine Quest Sports?Come on up to Beaver Creek or Vail and we can have a demo ready for ya.
No one cares that you stayed for the summers!
Re: Bishop Bomber
On the old telemarktips the NTN version was discussed (new toe block) - and also I believe that NTN was tried in the current toe block and found to work as described.bogon wrote:source?!ski wrote:with some rumor of a NTN Bishop
Last I heard, Bishop depended on duckbill to break the bellows, so You could stick NTN boot in there, but activity would be zero (no duckbill resistance => boot just kinda pivots)...
My recollection could be wrong, but they really do have zero rocker launch.
(In fact they will hold the ski against the sole of the boot, like NTN will, if setup with stiff springs, when foot is lifted
(notice on a ski lift.))
I am pretty happy with the Bombers; issues are negative release, and no fine tuning of activity.
Can change activity, but can't really dial a little stiffer spring for example.
Hey! maybe if I tied string between the heel throws in a big crash they would pull each other off.
Hey! I am patenting that tonight! Plus it would help hold a wedge!
