We got about 3/4" really light fluff on top of hard mud. Supposedly a big storm will come through about the 13th, we'll see. My skates arrived today, will get at least a few days of skating in before another inch falls.

Got 3" here overnight. Local forecast still doesn't inspire confidence but the forecasts for White Pine and Houghton look to get about a foot or so next Thurs-Sun. Truck is still running so I expect some trips to the porkies with some nordic trail and some dh.

I skied at the ski hill today, first time out. I might be able to take Gamme for a spin next weekend.
Midwest Telefest is scheduled for Feb 9-11. Heikki better get busy!

Pretty wild that In January I may have to drive 4+ hours SOUTH to find enough snow to use good skis.

I'd recommend the orange
