My late winter-early spring (April) skiing involves VERY cold nights (-20C and lower) with afternoons above freezing-
and there is often fresh snow overnight-
grip kick wax in the morning-
scales in the afternoon!

Re: Question on Transnordic 66
What do you think of Transnordic 66 in 200 cm length if I weigh 180 lbs? I am short (5' 7" or 170 cm), so maybe that works out? Thanks.

Re: Question on Transnordic 66
Im 190lbs, and bought the TN66 a few years ago in 205 (crown). The 205 is pretty good, but I think the 210 would have been better - but I couldnt find it in that length at the time, anywhere…
200 might be just fine for you. What does the Fisher sizing chart say?

Re: Question on Transnordic 66
According to:
https://fischersports.com/media/pdf/65/ ... _22l23.pdf
Fischer recommends 200 cm for skiers weighing 65 to 85 kg.
I weigh 81 kg, so that's within their recommendations, although I'm on the heavy side for that length.
However, since I like to ski off-trail as much as possible, it's probably better to have the shorter length.
I pulled the trigger on them, so I guess we'll see how they work out. This pair of TN66 skis is replacing a pair of Karhu Pegasus (same as Pinnacle) XCD skis, which just delaminated. I had those Pegasus skis for > 15 years, bought them at STP for $35, so I really can't complain. Good skis, nice and stout, but compact sized (185 cm length) and were definitely slow in the tracks. Great skis for tangling with the Northeast US forests, though. I'm hoping my skiing's improved enough that I can deal with a 15 cm longer ski in the woods.

Re: Question on Transnordic 66
Those are Fischer's tables for 2022-2023 season skis, and the TN59 and TN66 share the same recommendations. The label on my 2022-2023 season Fischer TN66 205cm stated 70-89kg, not the 75-95kg according to that table. Fischer is also notorious for listing ski pair weights as single weights in their dealer materials. There is probably a lot of overlap between 200cm and 205cm TN66s, and you will be fine either way, but it would be nice to at least get consistent numbers from Fischer's marketing. It's not like they have any other job to do now that they outsourced most of their XC ski production.rongon wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2024 9:46 pmAccording to:
