Removed junk from the parking lot at the end of Part 3. Chasing skis enrolled in the “witness protection program” was getting tiresome.

That program must be run by Fischer, because finding details on their skis is difficult at any time. Notoriously opaque data on their web site… often more data on retailer sites. But even that data gets deleted after a few years, so it’s searching Craigslist, Ebay, etc. for specs. Not authoritative sources, so end up looking for corroborating data… which means doing the same job 3x over.

List is complete for 2022/23… unless people wish to propose a new complete entry (name, model of skis, dimensions, basic description, construction, definitive photos required). Not interested in boots, bindings etc., which deserve a dedicated thread.

Rare article in an army journal on skis, with a focus on the KSF Scout. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Sweden and the USMC buying this ski for future use.

Ukraine started to reinvigorate their military alpine capability back in 2020. Started small… the guys were from the Ukrainian Military Academy for Intelligence and Airborne Forces.

Looks like personal gear being used, which makes it meaningless to identify the sticks. Would love to get some more info on where they’ve taken this… if anywhere. Lots of things occupying the Ukrainian Army atm. The guys are putting up a helluva fight to defend what’s theirs. Sisu!

Hopefully these young fellas are still around to get the program going again after “taking out the trash”.

New listing… at the end of this link:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5999&p=61345#p61345

Russian Federation Armed Forces… a ski used by men and, notably, women. See notes on why this is noteworthy.

The list is now up to 26 different skis currently in use by militaries around the world.

Well lookie here - Manney's got a thread going that's got some importance to himself. It'd be a real shame if something happened to it: say, something like it got derailed or sent off-topic. Somewhat interesting subject matter, albit not related to telemark skiing (shocking for this forum, I know). Too bad this thread is just manney's mastibatory ego-stoke where he struts around and doesn't stand for any dissent without getting all pissy, bitchy and/or condescending (see a few pages previous in this thread). Hooray for the new manneyttalk forum, now run by a blowhard who takes himself WAAAAAYYYYY too seriously. Nice work hitching your wagon to this pos there, Johnny! Between manney's obvious lack of experience and his condescending tone, I'm sure manneytalk.com will attract way more user engagement. lol. Here, let me include the following gem that manney posted and then took down out of embarrassment, a couple days ago which shows how truly vile this bully really is:

Don't ask on my account Jesse, I'm sure your editors know what they're doing. Funny thing, the only article I remember reading in that magazine was from the late 70s. It was about backcountry skiing in the Cape Bretton Highlands for spring corn. I've been wanting to go ever since.
LOL. Just came across this thread. Buying a copy of the mag every 50 years might mean you’re contact details were lost when they replaced their Rolodex with a computer database in the 1990s.

Yep… I’m sure you’re the guy that Cross Country Skier is seeking for a cover story. Your vast knowledge of ski areas is sure to impress… It’s “Cape Breton” (one “t”) not to be confused with Bretton (two “t”s) Woods NH doofus. Different countries, but you get marks for getting the same continent by sheer luck.

Just for giggles, I mocked up what your cover shot might look like…. parody/humor being covered by free use under copyright law…

Don’t expect a call from @JesseH, Al. If he walked this idea in to his editor, it would be the last writing gig he’d every get. Ha ha

If you want to derail a thread, that’s on you.

Maybe ppl could chime in so that, you know, everything that’s posted doesn’t suddenly disappear… or additions stop. Cause that’s what you really want, eh @connyro ? Fewer visits to TT, less content and site revenue…

@admin: See previous post.

Just giving you a taste of your own medicine: you've derailed many threads intentionally. And there you go with the reading comprehension issue again. I don't care much about site revenue or visits, I care about your condescending, bullying attitude and your misinformation. So I'm thinking I might just use this thread as a depository for all the instances of your bullying and misinformation. That would keep this thread hopping!

No biggie for me. If you want to undercut a thread that has brought more traffic to TT in a month than most do in a few years, that’s up to you. Probably not that smart tho… might not win you favors from the mods. (Remember lowangle’s experience? How did that work out for him?)

most of that traffic is you editing the shit out of your posts. Ooooh! Ooga-booga! admin threats! I'm on the fence about even participating on this forum so your threats of running crying to mommy don't really land.
