Maybe the Plow Stop where you let the front wheels rub against each other?

There's the SimBrake which appears to spin free in the middle and loaded axially (sideways) one direction but gets friction sliding the other way on the axle.



Then there are rollerblade brakes, both cable actuated and electronic.

I've actually been looking at off-road roller skis and skates. I have amazon gravel around me that goes deep into the mountains.
