Re: Manney, and similar…
You won't last long over there Manny. You just have too much to say without any substance.
Re: Manney, and similar…
You should post more there… and not just talking duplicate photos and tall tales. Yer big ideas on skiing, gear etc. Even if you start easy, with sensible stuff, you’ll drift into bs and ego. It’s what you do… been doing it for so long that you probably can’t change.

I post when I have something to add, not because I'm lonely.

Re: Manney, and similar…
So, Mr. Manney, you showed up here in March, on BC Talk in April. No sign of where you're from, what skiing you do, etc. Perhaps you can explain why you're bothering to rant here if you have nothing but contempt and criticism?Aren't there other places to play? Maybe try TGR.Do you carry some personal issues which cause you to have such a toxic attitude towards anyone beyond your age (another identity secret)?
We'll see how you fare over on BC Talk. If you had any familiarity with that site you'd know that a good many, if not most of the members, are also beyond your age group, whatever stage of adolescence that is.
"Haven't seen anyone voice support for your horseshit manney. Start your very own ski forum. This one functions MUCH better without you trying to mold it into something that suits your sensibilities. Who are you to force your view on a long-established community that clearly is not interested in your kool-aid? Are you ski-jesus?"
"Good post. That's exactly what I was thinking."
Pretty much the same thoughts here too. The only BS going on these days is from you, Manney. This thread might go a few ways; you may continue doing what seems to feed you and keep lashing out like a feral cat, you may actually have some other reason to stay around and tone your ass down, you might leave in a grand and vicious final post, you may just be ignored as suggested (then you'd always have the last word, which seems to feed you).
You're not going to change the forum, however zealous your warped desire. Most of us here are adults, and should you, by some distant chance, wanna play nice, then hang around. Otherwise, nothing good's gonna happen.
Maybe Jonny will eventually show up with something to say.

This totally cracked me up!
One of the best one-liners yet!
@Johnny, help! I’m drowning in garbage-talk — throw me a lifeline!
Re: Manney, and similar…
Not randomly attacking ppl. Calling out bs. Posting links. Even photos showing the bs. Started out gentle, providing pov. Responding when attacked. Only a few ppl tho.
Johnny can hit the reset button any time. Depends on where he wants to see things go… back to bs and old man skiing… or towards a path where fresh ideas and skiers can exchange ideas. Path dictates all kinds of things… membership, revenue needed to expand site, more attention from the ski industry, even popularity of tele.
Hard to ski without changing direction, throwing snow sometimes. Just got to decide when. If ya don’t embrace the turn the mountain will eat ya for breakfast.

Re: Manney, and similar…
Let’s review who’s doing the asking…
A guy who, not long ago, used this site to make a product liability claim about a binding manufacturer (Meidjo) after a fall… a fall that was characterized as a twisting fall even though it was not a spiral fib fracture… a simple lower fib fracture… at low speed in sticky snow, which suggests that the skier didn’t ski to conditions?
Is that the guy whose feelings need protecting? Is that the guy that will attract consideration by Meidjo or any other product manufacturer in helping further the aims of this site?
You started down the same bs track on Backcountry Talk. It went the same place… nowhere.
Up to this point ppl, myself included, have offered well wishes made suggesting how to get back to skiing form. There’s a point where sympathy and bs ends. You’ve just reached it.
If you want to ski ever again, you have to own your mistakes, injury. Get yer head out of your butt. Double down on rehab. Don’t blame others for your predicament or mood. Stop throwing flags when your pride is hurt. Man up. Ski right.

Re: Manney, and similar…
That was real nice Manny. You should be proud of yourself.
Re: Manney, and similar…
Not as nice as your initial post to Stephen… talking about your awesomeness and how you avoid injury… and how you should have told him years ago that he wasn’t choosing the right binding.
Nice touch. Way better than letting him vent a bit, giving him the chance to come around.
Did he do that? Nope. Switched from his injury to feeling hurt by others posts… then calling for a ban… then asking for mod intervention. Not surprising you’re both on the same page.
Such an echo chamber… same guy whose comments would drive away any advertizer, sponsor, or rational thinking skier… now calling for others to be banned. McLovin it.
What you and a few others forget is accountability. Say dumb things, don’t expect to be called out. Do dumb things, don’t expect to get hurt. Happens to us all… difference is that the adults in the room accept this as part of life… skiing. The children in the room don’t. Others fault.
Nothing that hasn’t been said before… in threads in which you participated and kept yer mouth shut.
