Rossignol is going XP
I was going through Outside.com and ran across a review/sales pitch for the new Rossignol XP 120 Positrack ($480). Dimensions: 120/90/110
Weight: 1,600 grams I could not find it on the Rossignol site, but they do have XP 100 Positrack https://www.rossignol.com/us/rhlzf01-000.html and a Unisex XP Nordic Boot, https://www.rossignol.com/us/ril3920-000.html
The review is fluff written by a Classic Nordic skier, didn’t seem like they have ever been on a BC Nordic ski.

I admit, i felt for the word Xp and i ordered a pair of xp100. I though this would be something new until i received them yesterday... it’s not, it’s an exact copy of the bc100. Same ski, same side cut, same weight, same tip, same tail, same scales... just a different topsheet.
Re: Rossignol is going XP
That's pretty fat! Almost the same as my 'all mountain' alpine skis: Salomon Stance 90. Fatter than an Åsnes Nosi, much less a Rabb, or Falketind.Krummholz wrote: ↑Fri Oct 14, 2022 11:00 amI was going through Outside.com and ran across a review/sales pitch for the new Rossignol XP 120 Positrack ($480). Will those pins drive that Rossignol? I don't mean expert skiers in perfect conditions. That'd prove nothing.

What a bunch of boring scumbags at that company. Chrissake. Do SOMETHING. TRY SOMETHING NEW.

Re: Rossignol is going XP
I'm considering the Kom, but while at the local shop today the sales guy said it didn't have enough side cut, a big turning radius and was heavy. He pushed me towards the Rossi XP 120 Positrack. He said he's skied both. Man this ski is light. Gotta think it will get kicked around. @Woodserson obviously is not impressed .
Any thoughts? Experience on the Rossi?

Are you sure it’s the 120? I looked on the Rossi site and they only have the XP 100 listed, along with the BC 65 & BC 80.wabene wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 4:58 pmI'm considering the Kom, but while at the local shop today the sales guy said it didn't have enough side cut, a big turning radius and was heavy. Weird that I can find it online along with a BC 120 (No Positrack?) but not on their website, I guess their website admin quit on them. I got the Rossi BlackOp Alpineer (touring) for a steal but no posi. It has same construction, super light, it’s been fun learning in the deep pow with leather boots. Probably too wide for hard pack with leather.

Yeah it's the 120. They have Madshus M78's at 50% off, so it could be old stock.Krummholz wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 5:56 pmAre you sure it’s the 120? Re: Rossignol is going XP
Having had the XP and the BC models both in my hands, they seem really the same to me. And still quite heavy, especially compared to a asnes, in my opinion the 100 and 120 are more towards backcountry touring skis with fishscales than xc ones like the madshus or asnes for example.
But they didn’t have the new design like on the picture, so maybe something will change…
I ski the xp12 boots since this winter and quite like them. You can find my review here in the review section.

Re: Rossignol is going XP
Ha ha, funny, the same ski, now named for the new binding!
100/80/90 does sound wide for the look of those boots. They look floppy….
