Pros/Cons: Rossignol BCX 11

If looking at a used pair of Rossignol BCX 11 boots, anything particular to this model to look out for? Would these be fine for light downhill, somewhere between old school leather 3-pin "hiking" boots and full-plastic bellowed Scarpas? Good pairing for G3 Targas or ... ?

For what it's worth I have nnn-bc X-10's and I wouldn't call them a very stiff boot. A step up from pure lace up nnn boots, but not very rigid.

Yah, very limited downhill chops. Very soft. I tried both those and similar Fischer boots. Ended up keeping the Fischer as they fit better and sold the Rossis. I’d call them a XC boot, wouldn’t buy with much hope for downhill turns, although can work with precise technique, low expectations and good snow, ie, shallow, soft snow.

A lot of 3 pin boots they sell now have those same soft rubber Vibram soles.

Agree with others, that’s a very soft boot and not good for downhill. Not bad for kick and glide, but given the very soft tow flex I hardly used the pair I had before selling them. keep looking if you need downhill performance.
