Mike, just let me finish all the work here and I'll sell you my house next year. Maybe I could even hire you, you could be my full-time NTN binding repair guy...?

Yep, I have the official certification to be a real estate agent. But there's no way I will have a day job when I can ski every day. Doesn't make sense at all.

I'm sorry to say, but you are right, the Province of Quebec really has the cutest girls in the world. Hey, I was wondering, there's this cute English girl I really like... I always wonder if she would think I'm sexier talking to her in French or with my badly broken English...? What would you suggest? (I sound mentally retarded when I speak English... But I sound retarded AND stupid when I speak French... ; )

I'm a mechanical engineer - if you were to hire me I'd just help you develop a binding that wouldn't break. Hard part is finding a machine shop that will make you parts that won't cost a fortune - you need a friend with a CNC.

No it doesn't - you could work at night ;)

Well first off... aren't you married?

And second, and maybe more important - I'm an engineer - what makes you think I know anything about talking to women?

So basically, your advice is to simply avoid any kind of conversation...? 8-)

Are you still having trouble with your ntn?
Don't tell me you broke the undestrucktable toe cups I've made for your bindings?

I can't believe you're not a huge LVEAM fan yet... It's mostly what it's all about... ; )
I'm still waiting for that cartoon thread!!

Yesterday, very first run. Right at the start of the Alouette, very first turn: Crack! I broke my 11th toe cup on a flat green trail. I was furious, as I have been working on my boots and other parts of the binding the night before. So I went back home, time for your cups now. They were a bit tricky to install tough, since there's no more space to turn the nut into the bolt. I had to spend 0.61$ at the hardware store to get a different type of nut.

I haven't tried them yet, but I will tommorow. I'll post something about it soon, they're just too great not to start a new thread about it... ; )

If you make me stay on NTN, I'll be eternally grateful to you my friend...

Who says I'm not? I might be the biggest LVEAM fan! :o

I really like "Christ d'hostie d'salope" but I have no idea WTF it means - it's more raw though, and I like that. Maybe the artist could help me? (I know it means whatever the eff I want it to mean, but the language barrier is getting me...)

More free skiing in the Adirondacks...

This one isn't a lift served area, but rather a xc ski/mountain bike area run by the town of Inlet NY. I've been here before but actually never skied it. My only experience was a mountain bike race 16 years ago... I remember the terrain being fun though.

Skied there today just to kind of scope out the situation. Conditions were horrible again... hard, crappy crusty from rain and freezing but they did get a dusting overnight which helped. They groom the trails with a snowmobile and unfortunately with the rain and freezing it was quite noticeable i.e. ruts from the skis and track. Wasn't really ideal being frozen like that. I really could spend a day here and have a lot of fun - so many little trails all over this small mountain side. There are some steep shots they don't groom and they aren't marked as trail - I'm not sure what the deal is but it looks skiable under the right conditions. If I lived near Inlet I'd ski here all the time, and probably be a lot better XCD skier as there isn't much flat terrain there.
