Everyone is talking about it. Everyone is dreaming of it.
I wonder if we will actually see someone use them in real life one day...

The M Meido has just been awarded at ISPO (this is a traidfair in Europe for outdoor equipments takeing place this week).
So, I guess it's not bad. But how good is it? As good as 700 USD?
I was looking also for an independent review but could'n find any.

I have not skied them, but they cost $515 at Telemark-Pyrenees (partially due to the euro-dollar exchange rate). Definitely on the high end of bindings, but many are between $400 and $450 these days.

I have checked on Telemark pyreenes webshop and it't like this:dschane wrote:I have not skied them, but they cost $515 at Telemark-Pyrenees (partially due to the euro-dollar exchange rate). Definitely on the high end of bindings, but many are between $400 and $450 these days.
539 Eur binding
47 Eur inserts (recommended by the manufacturer)
18 Eur shipping (econnomy, from France to Romania)
That means a total of 604 Eur, aprox 696 USD.
Is it cheaper to by this binding from the States than from Europe? If yes, I'm interested.
Re: Anyone ski on M-Equipment Bindings?
Marius - we don't need to pay the VAT here in the US when we order stuff from Europe - of course the shipping is much more.

Re: Anyone ski on M-Equipment Bindings?
you're right MikeK, I didn't thought of that
Re: Anyone ski on M-Equipment Bindings?
The VAT and I don't think I'd drop $55 on 30 inserts -- dubious that they're necessary, at least not for all the holes, and you can Binding Freedom inserts for about half that. So, ordering from outside the Euro zone (U.S., Iceland), it's 450 euros plus shipping.
