Which model of Thule Chariot as Pulk?

Does anyone have experience with any of Thule Chariot models as a pulk for kids?

Debating the Lite vs Cheetah. About 5lbs difference which seems meaningful, but the Lite (which is heavier) has nice added features.

We live in the mountains and also plan to also use it as a stroller in the snow with the skis and jogging wheel attached.

Went with the Lite, hope I don't regret the 5lbs, but the cheetah seemed too small.

I used both the old Cougar1 chariot and Cougar2 chariot. These are the first generation of Cheetah . This design is built as a tank. I had used these chariots for all type of activities (Sking, running, hikking, biking) for 5 years. Because of high quality bearing, I don't think that the 5 lbs will make a difference.

I have both a single and double Chariot (original- before bought out by Thule)- the double is a Cougar model- the single is the upgraded model (GT/xT- or something- can't remember)- I have used them for hauling kids and gear for almost 20 years. I have the jogger, bike and ski, hike and bike attachments for both.

The ski attachment only works on consolidated and/or groomed snow- it sinks FAR too deep to use in deep soft snow.

Have you tried swapping its skis for Madshus Annum 195s?

I'm spoiled and have started using a Baby Glider over soft snow, nordic BC skiing...not that we have any of that said snow here at the moment.

That’s really good to know. In all seriousness have you ever tried to modify the skis? Or is it better just to go for more of a sled type device in BC conditions? To be honest if I’m pulling my kid I’m probably going to stick to tamer scenarios until my confidence is up.

Seems the Thule is hard to get right now (new model refresh is coming and my order keeps getting canceled).

I'm now thinking about the Fjellpulken Classic Barnepulk. Anyone for or against it?

I also considered the Baby Glider, but like some of the features of the Fjellpulken Classic Barnepulk.

Hi folks!
Got us a m/y 2008 Chariot Cougar 2 with bicycle connection & jogging wheel and a ski kit with pulling frame.
The skis can use some TLC for scratches but doable.
These Chariot/Rossignol skis have an interesting connection to the legs : bolted right through the ski, leaving a hole in the bases to cover up with whatever...

Of course I'll use first try it on tame routes and see how it behaves on 10-20cm of fresh snow on top of hard/base.
If the standard skis are crap even on 20cm fresh snow on forest roads I could consider to swap for a pair of old kids downhill skis which I found next to the garbage container last year But I also don't want to make the setup heavier than necessary!
