Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Sunny on the first day after Cypress closed for the season. Perfect for a skin up Strachan with a mix of dust on crust and softer snow. Base is over 4 metres so we should be good for another few weeks

Somebody was asking about glacial erratics... here's a prime specimen. Plenty more where that came from.

@Nick BC Interesting kit and nice terrain!
@dhdaines Amazing the things that a glacier just drops off. In my neck of the woods it’s mostly glacial moraines.

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Winter has returned to the Tetons after days in the 60's and trips to the nursery to buy plants for garden projects. It has snowed over a foot since and more is on the way! Oh well, decided to go skiing with Scout the Malamute since I can't plant a new lawn yet.
Conditions were perfect "Hero Snow", 8-12 inches of medium density over a solid isothermic base. Even the low angle stuff was fast and turny! Prolly have to go tomorrow!

Plenty of snow left in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, but it's getting too soft for E99s:

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Amazing amount of snow here still. Today's easter ski trip was between 300 and 580 m asl. In my back yard. Refrozen snow so mohair short skins were the ticket for me.
There is something special about skiing with a view over the sea for me.

It's good to have skis that are comparable to your partners' but this is ridiculous!
The gal who took the picture is usually AT or xc; she had a pair of NNN-BC boots, so we we put her on Madshus Panorama m68 -- she did fine on the down -- fun spring conditions: about an inch of cream cheese on a consolidated base. April 24

Great end of the season photos guys, I especially like the one above. They look like my kind of people, all geared up for fun.

Cool drifts in Colorado’s Mosquito Range, not even on a ridge top or anything.
You can never have enough skis and boots.
