But we can at least agree that Vladimir Putin is a kleptocratic, brutal, fascist prick, can't we?
We can agree, at least, on this, right?
Sure but that wasn't my point, and I don't want to get into it further in this space. Unless this idiot connyro wants to actually address specific statements and/or facts rather than make vague and unsubstantiated assertions.
ok, what point were you making in your first post? boil it down for this idiot.mca80 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 12:35 pmSure but that wasn't my point, and I don't want to get into it further in this space. what does this mean? it sounds like Qanon shit:mca80 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 1:09 pmWell, my very first post lamented this topic being on a ski forum. But if you are referring to my post to which you responded, there were several points and I will just be repeating myself. One, NATOstan has encroached beyond agreed upon limits and so Putin has a right to be concerned about a hostile military force moving closer to his borders. Note I said NOTHING about the morality of how he has responded, only that it IS a threat to Russia's security. Two, the Minsk agreement was violated, another issue concerning for them. Three, I believe there is evidence US played a part in Maidan Revolution, but that was a minor point. But which leads into four: US HAS interfered all over the world in pursuit of regime change to benefit the oligarchs who run THIS country and Eurozone. Which leads to five: where is the outrage over this? Note the West has in certain cases stopped buying Russian oil because Putin is a totalitarian thug who invaded another nation and has values not aligned with the West regarding women, gays etc. But the Saudis are run by....yes a totalitarian thug who executes dissidents, gays, treats women poorly and has been bombing civilians in Yemen for some time. Do we hear that on corporate media? Where's everyone's Yemeni flag emojis on their social media? Which leads me to believe the powers that be are lying about the reasoning behind this stance toward Russia and they don't actually give a shit--how else to explain the discrepancy? So, six, the hypocrisy is terrifying to me because you have media-induced group think (right or wrong is besides my point) of the cause du jour that conveniently ignores certain other culprits in the globocap wargame, almost as if "it's alrignt if we do it." I think this is a very dangerous time precisely because of the technological apparatus that shapes how people think. That was the point I was making. Oh, and you can easily look up US inflation data prior to Putin's invasion.
As for my anger at you, you mischaracterized me in many ways and asserted without pointing to anything I said that I meant what you said I meant. And then assert everything I said was "misinformation," again without detailing how or why. And accused me of watching "faux news" (kind of an old cliche, no? You don't actually think that was clever, right?), as well as watching some other things I am not even familiar with. To tell the truth I haven't owned a tv in over 20 years, think Fox News operates by a similar business model to CNN and other garbage outlets, and while I am not a news junky by any means I get most of my current geopolitical infornation from a diverse array of sources including far left journal Counterpunch, far right financial blog Zerohedge, and those right-wing extremists like Chris Hedges and Matt Taibbi (sarcasm in case you couldnt tell). The fact is I am terrified this world looks increasingly like 1984 where you need a permanent enemy, except we're able to float from one enemy to the next (al qaeda, trump, anti vaxxers, putin) to keep people sometimes divided but always distracted from the oligarchic thieves who took over the western governments long ago (see the revolving door between executives from defence, pharma, banks, ag, oil, etc., and the various branches of government).
also, what does this mean? it sounds exactly like the same talking points being passed off by Tucker Carlson and, sorry, TC is misinformation. In fact, your rant above sounds just like TC. Please explain:mca80 wrote: You think the CIA and Bezos and Gates and Dimon and Bush-Clinton cabal and the Vampire Squid care about you, or Ukrainians for that matter?

Take your own advice.
I don't know what Qanon shit is. To think that rich folks in back rooms don't conspire is naive. Adam Smith made this point long ago.connyro wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 1:29 pmwhat does this mean? it sounds like Qanon shit:

Thanks. Will do, it's just this connyro guy pissed me off, ascribing meanings to my words that werent there and otherwise making disparaging remarks about me, which I have seen him do to others here. He's kind of a prick.
Aside from the ranting and raving, name calling, and emotional, childish outbursts, I bet you are a treat too. I read a couple of the posts that you bravely took down right after posting them that disparaged where I live (who the fuck does that?). So chill with the high and mighty attitude. over and out good buddymca80 wrote: ↑
