I know this is mountaineering, but hey there’s snow. Got a lesson from my friend Mark (blue coat) on his homemade climbing wall, then he says, ok you got it, let’s go repel down and climb back out of a frozen slot waterfall. Uh, ok.
awesome!! thanks for the pics. I'm feeling so boxed in this winter as I havent been able to get out much.
Hope you had fun! at least you practiced on a climbing wall... I just watched youtube videos and some cartoon drawings...
That’s me. Pretty low snow year here as well but the aspect at this resort, Zinal, helps keep things cold and light. Just got a foot last night and more next week.

Yeah, I've been hawking Zermatt conditions and thought they were beginning to get some snow in the last week or so.
Looks like a wet spell starting Friday!
An upcoming cabin on the tour next week- If you have a party of four a cabin like this works out to about $27/person per night (has propane stove, kitchenware, beds, couches, woodstove, firewood, outhouse). This is a small cabin, sleeps 4. This is apart of Trondelag where you will not see another skier except in the very rarest of instances. You need to thoroughly understand winter land-navigation. This is one of our last stops on the tour.
