Insole of TransN in size 45 is about 293mm

Re: Fischer Transnordic BOOT
How did you do that? I have downloaded the app, made the scan but then only some 3d model of the foot shows and there are measurements and two buttons "ALPINE" and "NORDIC", but clicking them do nothing unfortunatelly.kookDaddy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 12:34 pmI used the Fischer Scan Fit app to get the recommended boot size and it fit perfect. The only issue I had is the app gave me a ridiculous answer for the transnordic nnn bc. When I told the app to size the transnordic 75 mm I got a recommendation that fit perfect for the nnn bc that I ordered.
I have about 270mm long feet, so I think 44 size would be better, right?stilltryin wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 12:45 pmInsole of TransN in size 45 is about 293mm

Thanks.

Re: Fischer Transnordic BOOT
I would think that with the high cuff you could have a looser fit around your foot and still have the control you want. That is what appeals to me with this boot.

For what it's worth, yes, this table seems to suggest sizing down from EU45 -- I'm not a boot fitter, so I can't say how much.
EU43=273mm foot length
EU44=280mm foot length
EU45=287mm foot length

Re: Fischer Transnordic BOOT
I had the same issue with the app as @oodoow unfortunately.
Can anyone comment as to how the sizing compares with the Alaskas by any chance? I picked up a pair of T4s for my XCD setup but they don't seem to agree with my feet and these seem like they'd be worth a try, but nobody local has them in stock to try out.

Re: Fischer Transnordic BOOT
I've posted that the Alaska 75 in size 45 is best with a thin sock on my foot, whereas the Transnordic BC in size 45 is roomier (extra innersole and/or thicker sock). I can now add that the Alaska BC in 45 fits like the Alaska 75. I have not tried the Transnordic 75 for a perfect comparison, but it's a good bet that it fits like the Transnordic BC. I hope that helps a bit.
Re: Fischer Transnordic BOOT
I have a pair of TN 75 on the way to me. They should be here on Wednesday. I'm also in the Boise area. I'd be more than happy to let you have a look at them. Size 43.JVSki wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 5:35 pmI had the same issue with the app as @oodoow unfortunately.

I had to return the first pair that I received because of a defect in the sole. It seems that during the injection molding process that the metal pin reinforcing plate moved out of position, or something. The plate was stuck to the front of the duckbill and rotated 90 degrees up. Strange, and not at all good.
My impression based on the pair that I returned is that lengthwise, is that they are consistent with the Alaska sizing. I have both a pair of Alaska 75 size 44 and Alaska BC size 43. The TN in 43 compares with the Alaska in 43 in length. The last width however, is wider in the TN75. Toe box volume is significantly greater. That was good news for me. Now if I can just get a pair without defects, that would be great!
Outdoor Gear Exchange customer service was really great in handling the return. They had my new pair shipped the same day.
I hope this helps!

Jalp, you missed the occasion to test vertical mounted boots.jalp wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 11:43 pmI had to return the first pair that I received because of a defect in the sole. I suppose in the molding process of the sole, some contraption is meant to hold the steel plate in place while the rubber is injected around it, and it failed. So did QC after that.
If it reassures you, I am very happy with my TN 75mm.
@JVSki I had a pair of T4s which also did not really work for me. I think the Transnordic are a very good compromise. They are comfortable and warm, and pretty light too for their size. I have not weighed them but I will.
The size 46 Transnordic is comparable to size 46 Crispi FWIW.

This is all super helpful, thanks folks! @jalp I'll definitely follow up with you this week now that we're finally back in town!

Hahaha! I'm sure that the vertical mount option would really keep me on my toes. It was actually pretty hard to spot the defect so I'm going to give QC the benefit of the doubt...this time. I had to use a magnet to confirm exactly where the plate was. On the front bottom edge of the duckbill there's just a hint of metal visible.
