He did not, or I would have asked for his autograph. There were also no tell-tale signs of wearing a 360-degree camera or trying to communicate with people from the future.

@randoskier Sometimes I think I want to visit Europe just for the bacon and sausages and beer. It’s okay to enjoy the simple things!

The simple things on a Norwegian or Swedish tour are nice- Jotul wood-stoves, the cozy cabins, but a glass of beer in a bar starts at $10. It is mostly tax- the tax on alc. is sold as a way to moderate consumption, I think it is ridiculous to have the health ministry regulate beer. I am a brewer with a business interest in Norway so i read all of their of reports and studies (all cherry picked and often taken out of context, totally ignoring studies that disagree with their ideas)- they are not looking at it scientifically. It is largely influenced by the part of the Lutheran church that has always been for prohibition. Hoping the present generation that likes craft beer will change these draconian laws over time.
But in the backcountry there- it is no problem as there are no bars, houses, or other reminders of "civilization" and any beer you carry will freeze and burst.
If you want to ski and drink beer it is ridiculously cheap (and good) in Czech Republic and Slovakia, and it is also cheap in Germany and Austria.

An old saying, in order to make an omelet . . . .
The 360 camera can capture some interesting moments for sure. Don't worry, I'm all smiles and the camera is OK

there was a recent article in Backcountry mag. about BC skiing and lodges in Bulgaria - looked awesome - the article specifically mentioned that a half-gallon of beer in Bulgaria was $1.50 and it was excellent - everything is cheap there

No new snow to speak of down south, in Utah, but the moguls at DV are skiing great!
Smooth, relatively soft snow, no killer troughs - ego bumps!
It's Wednesday. That makes it Bump Day.
Yesterday was Bump Day.
I expect tomorrow will be Bump Day.
