I have a pair of Scarpa TX Pro and I'm thinking about if there is any way to increase it's Range of Motion (ROM).
The only thing I can think of is grinding down the "lip" that sticks up that is holding the "metal stake" that controls the walk mode. See attached picture. Has anyone attempted such a mod?
Did you manage to work out a way to increase the ROM? I’ve recently started using TX Pros and would like the cuffs to stand more upright for touring.
The issue with mine appears to be the thickness of the moulding at the bottom of the cuff, which hits the lower boot just in front of the ski mode metal stake. I’m thinking about getting some sandpaper in there and removing some material from the cuff. Anyone done this?
