I think it’s time to put some life in this thread by sharing this beer crafted in the honour of new XC ski trail in Stoneham North of Québec City. If I am not mistaken, I would think that they were inspired by our own @Rodbelan for the graphic of this can as he lives near by the micro-brewery. The ski seems to have a low camber and raised tips and the skier has a great retro outfit. What not to like in this beer especially when it’s snowing outside

I just noticed the mention « Electrolyte » on the can… hey @fisheater you could now drink your beer while skiing and not wait for klister removing

Beautiful can! It would be improved greatly if the 2.5% was changed to 7.5%, though.

@Nitram Tocrut At 2.5% and electrolytes it probably wouldn’t hurt my skiing. It’s just I don’t need to make more pit stops than required by my morning coffee. That sure is a colorful character on the label.

Unibroue makes another brew called "La fin du mode" that I more prefer, but la Maudite gets the job done.

Yeah 24 years is about time! I am master-brewer by trade and education (diplom braumeister). This is one of my babies from my Savoie days. If you find yourself around Cham' or Les Trois Vallees you will still find it in bottle and on draft.

Well head for France! or ..... Closer to your home (but not that close) you can try the beers of Sawdust City Brewing Co. in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Sam the master brewer there was a classmate during our debauched Berlin days. Please pity him for he is a long-suffering Leafs fan.

We've been dumpster diving for several years here. In fact, we are 100% Freegan. Yep, that means we did NOT buy a single piece of food in the last 3 years. (Seriously!) And while I do not drink, I still salvage tons of good local, high-end, organic beers from the dumpsters for my friends and family. This week I just found a batch of the Sweep beer I mentioned earlier. It now comes in a new "red" version with new graphics!

Sorry, I can't say if it's better or not...

(Yeah about the book, it was way too expensive to pay the bank transfer costs here in Canada... Sir Jofred Asnes kindly suggested a trade... It seems like he is a great connaisseur of fine Canadian Maple syrups. To his request, I sent a few bottles of our finest homemade syrup to Norway...)
