Don’t tell me you’ve now got a drone Tom :? The videos will go to an all new level :D
Not a drone shot. Taken with the Insta360 One X2 which is on top of a short pole that is attached to my backpack.
It is a very interesting camera. The photo below is a single frame grab and shows the raw 360 degree fisheye perspective. This 360 video capture is manipulated in post via software to produce more of an action camera perspective. If you are curious, I have a 3 part series of ski videos shot on this camera on my youtube channel.

Sunday 12/5/21 in Vermont. Rain took most of the snow away early in the week. About 4" last night

my local resort is trying. guns blazing. if it stays cold, should be open by xmas
Deer Valley is opening some more terrain today. We've gotten 40" so far which is not good if you have 41" rocks strewn about. But it's amazing how you can get micro-climates in the mountains. On the other side of the Wasatch, Alta has gotten 160" so far!

I recall about 25 years ago, Alta opened 100% of the mountain, one season with a 109" base on opening day.

here in the east we are excited that Vermont got 8" yesterday...

finally some action cam makers are given GoPro a run for their money. Insta360 is one, and DJI( of drone fame) also has a new camera out.

No D in this XC, but not too shabby for the first outing of the season.
Yes, it's night time (see a couple of stars near the top) -- moon 98% full; 12/17/21.

Can and do. Great ski for what I do most of the time. Used them once or twice during late-night groom laps and they were awful. I don't find them enjoyable on any type of firm surface.

With only 6-8"s in the woods things can get a bit dicey. Wouldn't be skiing it if I didn't spend many hours in the non-snow months picking up sticks an clearing out the old log roads.

Skiing the Franconia Notch bike path yesterday, with Woodserson and Plow. We started at Flume Gorge, and admired the views along the way, making our way past The Basin, Lafayette Campground (great views of the mountains), Profile Lake, and two Old Man of the Mountain viewing sites.

Lots of rolling hills along the bike path make for a ski trip that is much more fun than you think a bike path should be.
