Johnny, you are living my dream! How long can you stay out with just the provisions you can carry in the van?

Enjoying the bumper stickers on your van, but I thought they had to meet Quebec signage statutes to include française.

Yeah, we see it as a poor man's dream... Hey nothing should stop your dream!
In the last 12 months, we only did overnight trips with our 6yo daughter, but we take it as a test... A preliminary step before saying a definitive goodbye to all worldly affairs...
Quite funny! I could go on forever...!joeatomictoad wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 11:08 amEnjoying the bumper stickers on your van, but I thought they had to meet Quebec signage statutes to include française.

That is a thing of beauty. But don't leave us hanging: interior pictures.Johnny wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 8:48 amOur XCD Camper Van, also called "Le Fourgon Millenium" by our family...エイダン.シダル wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 1:19 pm'Krummholz', if your Honda Element has lots of life left in it (as it probably has, because it's a Honda) have you considered getting an E-Camper? It'd be a fine 1-2 person all-season rig.

With a queen size bed, subwoofers, and enough storage for at least 30 pairs of skis...

As another godless leftie, may I suggest two more bumper stickers, at your own risk?
'This machine kills fascists' - Woody Guthrie's guitar.
'This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb' - punk band.

I'm looking for a new ride for my last decade, before retirement to Japan (thanks wife). Get rid of my '15 CRV. Reliable, but I'm 6'1.5" and the back is a foot less. 60/40 split seats are @$$: 40/20/40 or 'captain's chairs' for a skiing family of four. Yeah I've got a ski-box, but I don't want to have to use it.
Don't need a body-on-frame SUV, so probably the Highlander hybrid, once the shortages are over. Sienna is just too big on the outside for the city (Toronto).
Now if I could get an affordable pop-up minivan conversion near Toronto, I'd go that way. I'm not owning two vehicles. Otherwise I'd get one of these lightweight pop-ups on a Tacoma (hybrid when available) but my parking garage is 6'10"...

I have a few pictures of the interior with the girls sleeping soundly... But unfortunately, from the angle I took the pictures, we can't see the ski rack and the pool table...
Last time we went camping was for the harvest moon in late September. When the night set in, we all danced slowly by the camp fire listening to Neil Young's Harvest Moon... Just like in the video... Tacky and cheesy, I admit...

Woooah, nice reference!!! Last time I heard about This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb was a few decades ago!

@jyw5, you may have the ratio backwards — it looks like you have more boots than skis!
