Thanks, fisheater, but the website said they will not ship to the US.

Re: Fischer Traverse 78s availability?
I would try calling ski shops that don’t sell online (lots of smaller shops).
Start local, of course.
Fischer Dealer Locator:
https://www.fischersports.com/us_en/dea ... or-locally

Re: Fischer Traverse 78s availability?
Stephen, Oddly (or at least I thought it was odd), I found a pair of 189s on Amazon last night. Through one of their outside sellers. It was their last pair. I bought them and they should be here in a few days. I hope that the 189s are not too short. I am about 195 lbs. I will do the paper test when I get them. My local shop that carries Fischer did not have them in stock and did not get back to me about possibly ordering them.
Thanks.
Russ

Re: Fischer Traverse 78s availability?
@RussW, depending on usage, the 196 might have been a better match for you.
I was going to let you know there is/was a pair in my local shop. $300 + shipping.
If yours are cancelable or returnable, you may be interested, if these are still available.
Otherwise, what you ordered should work out fine.
The 189s will be a little slower on the flats and gentle downhills, due to traction drag, but will climb better, be a little more manageable, and turn a bit easier, so might be just what you want?
