Gear Basket
Re: Gear Basket
I’m a big fan of the original Voile Non-3-pin Hardwire binding, for my xcD skiing with Altai Koms and Excursions/T4s. They can be skied at minimum tension for easy on/off and good ROM for flats/ups, but still provide decent progressive resistance and good lateral control for the down without having to readjust. (I already have a couple of extra pairs otherwise I would try to get more!). Here are a couple of nice specimens I noticed that came up on Denver Craigslist (looks like there are some fun skis included with them too!)

A rare unicorn! Fischer Boundless in 189 on ebay right now! Crown, but negative, easy to fill in with p-tex or even just ignore. Holy cow someone jump on these! Comparable to the old Asnes Storetind. Less initial camber than the current Sbound 98. Very nice ski.

Re: Gear Basket
Those K2 skis are great all round resort and bc skis, even if a little dated, and a bit narrow for deep snow. I think I have 3 pair myself.

Re: Gear Basket
If you're in Southern Ontario, buy these so I don't: Fischer S-Bound Rebound Crown 189s, with Voile Hardwires, $300 CAD. I just got S-Bound Outabounds with similar dimensions used. I'd be sorely tempted to put NNN BC bindings on those, but that'd be excessive to have similar skis for different boots...
Maybe more binding than they need, but the wires come off, or you could switch them out for another project.

Re: Gear Basket
Another pair of Rebounds have come up, this time near Ottawa. You'd have to contact the seller to get more accurate information. I bet you could talk down the price, because they've got SNS bindings on them...

Re: Gear Basket
I have to stop buying gear for my friends to get them to ski with me, so instead I should share this for someone in Colorado to score. Then, that person should ski with me

Re: Gear Basket
For a starter package, not too shabby.
Decent price just for the bindings alone.
