Well, I knew I'd seen Norrona hardgoods, just had to jar the memory. Norrona did make/sell XC boots and shoes in the distant past... I think I'll keep searching but there were probably bindings as well.

Norröna is not the same brand as Norrøna. Logo is different, font is different, spelling is different. Norröna = Norröna shoe factory, established in 1900, in Hamar, Norway. The company was acquired by Alfa in 1996 btw. (Norrøna has since bought the commersial rights for the usage of "norrøna" on shoes etc)

Dang it! When is Norrona not Norrona? Guess I'm not familiar with all the nuances and subtleties of the Norwegian language, written or otherwise...since English doesn't use many extra letters with those lines thru, and dots...I even have to use special prompts for those letters since the keyboards here don't actively use them.

It's actually a kind of reasonable error in this case. I've only ever encountered 'Ö' in personal names in Norway, but assumed when I saw 'Norröna' on that shoe that Norrøna must have adopted the Swedish/ German orthography for the US market for a while. Or something. I'm sure I've seen '"Ö" in 19th century Danish texts here and there.

They're the same prices as the equivalent EVI skis, or thereabouts.

I suspect that the Lyngen might be the most interesting for most people here?

At a cool 1,700 USD for the Lyngen and 1,500 USD for the Tamok these are... well, they're Norrøna products. I suspect that if you're paying that much you'd probably want the personal service you'd get from ordering them direct from EVI?

Personally I'm going to buy a pair from the Norrøna 'Concept Store' so I can co-ordinate the shit out of my Night Blue Norrøna GoreTex Pro bib and my skis. But I have more disposable income than you because my parents are very wealthy and I work on an oil rig.
