Asnes sales, North America?
Asnes sales, North America?
AFAIK, the only recent NA Åsnes retailers have been the following:
https://neptunemountaineering.com/search?q=Asnes
https://www.lacordee.com/en/shop?q=Asnes
https://norsemanoutdoorspecialist.com/
Please let us know if you've found any others.
Norseman has just responded to me that they're not carrying the Gamme this year. I'm not convinced they'll carry much Åsnes at all. LaCordee responded about Åsnes stock, 'in the coming weeks', which I didn't think was very helpful. Plus they responded to an English email in French (despite a bilingual website), but that's PQ language politics for you.
Neptune has always had the most selection in stock. You fortunate Americans.

I’ve heard that Varuste.com from Finland ships to Canada cheaper than from the US
I’ve actually heard that shipping in general is cheaper to Canada from Europe. However Varuste offers pretty good prices to start out with

Re: Asnes sales, North America?
You're absolutely right. Cheers. About 10% cheaper for me from Varuste. However, no Gamme in stock yet...

Hey, now! Don't leave me hanging like that!Woodserson wrote: ↑Mon Oct 04, 2021 8:35 pmThere will be another US based supplier, I need to clear with them if it's OK for me to release the info right now.
I also know the inventory
Åsnes still has REI listed, but they did last winter, too. And REI wasn't selling them last winter.

I think I should jump on the Gamme at Neptune, before they're gone. Stock is weird all over right now.

Re: Asnes sales, North America?
For some reason I can't send you one, the option isn't there.
Your hunch is correct, act on it.

Re: Asnes sales, North America?
Thanks for that.
Norseman told me they're not carrying Gamme. Varuste doesn't have them posted.
I've read rumours of LaCordee having had trouble paying suppliers, so having trouble keeping them.
You seem to be implying Neptune's the place to get them from the US. Clear enough.

Ok, I got the green light.
Ragged Mountain Equipment in Intervale, NH will be an Asnes dealer this winter. https://raggedmountain.com/
Don't confuse the ski mountain with the outfitter, 2 different things across the state from each other.
Ski inventory (NOT YET DELIVERED as of 10/4... expected date by November but everything is crazy):
Amudsen BC, Nansen BC, Ingstad BC, Tonje BC, Cecile BC, and Nansen BC WL, Cecile BC WL, Ingstad
BC WL, Liv BC, Amundsen Fram WL, Falketind 62, Rabb 68 and Fjoro 92
Also, apparently lots of skins too.
I don't have all the specifics but I plan on taking pictures and I will post.
They seemed amenable to shipping when I spoke with them last spring, but that could/might change. If shipping does become a problem I might be able to help out, I could pick up and ship them for someone who might need that, but this would be on a case-by-case basis.
GAME ON

Re: Asnes sales, North America?
Very kind indeed to offer to help, but I think I'd better jump on Neptune's Gammes - who ship to Canada reasonably.
I've just got a great deal on unmounted Fischer S Bound Outabounds 88s, I'm putting 3-pins on. I think the Gammes with NNN BC will set me up for almost anything in Ontario and Québec, between them.
