Crispi Evo Toe-crunch. Size down?
I ski low and high and paralell depending on mood and conditions, but I like to be able to go low when I feel like it. 8 years ago I bought a pair of Crispi Evos size 28,5 (shell 28,5-29). Loved the controll, hated the toe crunch. Tried plastic toe prorection etc but I ended up buying Scarpa TX Comp and then Pro size 28 (shell siz3 27,5-28). Now the Scarpa Pro are getting old and too soft and my Comps are even wores and also dont fit my Meidjos. I will nedd a new pair of boots. I really would like to give Crispi another try, Evo WC.
I'm quite sure I could get a shell size smaller this time and maybe get around the toe cruch that way. Scarpa 28 shells are really perfect, borderline too small, so I guess Crispi 28 would also be snug (the old 28,5-29 were defenately not snug) What do you think? Give Crispi anorther try?

So you found something that works, but you want to go back to something that didn't work-- and go a size smaller on top of it all?

Yes. I found something that works but is getting too soft. The reason I want to go smaller is quite obvious, toe crunch is worse with a larger shell since the bending is more forward on the toe. But I'm not sure it's enough.

I've gotten toe crunch from boots that were too long. Good luck.

@KingDuckbill
Any issues had with the TX Pro's? Assuming 'yes' because you're aiming to try the Evo's again.
Root cause: Not a lot of options to select from in our niche market.

I've had toe crunch in Scrapa Tx Pros and also in leathers...the only boot that I have found so far without toe crunch for me is the Garmont Synergy...
