No Stephen, the west side of Michigan. Fourth Coast is somewhere on the west side of the state. I figured I he could ride the Green Man, but I now read he has no NNN-BC boots.
Back in the days I rode planes to ski, I found the canyons on the west side of the Wasatch that drew in the moisture laden clouds over the Great Salt Lake as a chimney draws smoke (exactly the same). These clouds then would belch snow on steep tree chutes, and rocky alpine chutes. And it was good.
If I was to ride a plane to turn again, that is where I would go.

Any closer to a decision? I can’t imagine not being pleased with either ski!

The Fever continues!

As winter skiing draws to a close, I must say, I had some of the worst and best days ever this season!!

Worst -- chose the Skog on a day of flat light and breakable crust and lost a 100% mohair Xskin (an expensive special order)

Worst/best -- skiied 22 miles of gravelly/rocky packed out trail to see a beautiful glacier... should have just walked...my MT51 will never forgive me...scarred for life.

Worst -- post holing in bottomless heavy rotten snow on my FT62; deciding which was worse, to ski or walk down...

Best -- MT51 was fast and furious up and down a packed trail with 2inches of new dry snow on top ...I desperately needed a one piece jumpsuit and a helmet.

Best -- FT62 ascended and descended like skimo racing in perfect powder. I now know what it feels like to float.

Best -- SKOG on moderately steep crust and corn was intense and lightening fast, rather scary and required strong balance and muscles for turning...made the heart pump and the feet hurt in a great way ... the same feeling you get when you drop into a couloir. Don't think knee pads were enough...

Now wishing I had just 2 more pairs of Asnes skis...maybe 3. but no more after that.

Happy Spring!

I'm in. Where's the used market?
We keep our Asnes skis, and sell our other skis on the used market ;)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the MR48 and MR48 Skin are no longer on the Åsnes site...

To those interested, the official word from Åsnes apparently is that the MR48 Skin will be readily available this season, and there will be limited amounts of the green waxable ones.

@Musk Ox, any idea if the wax version will be stock left from last season, or new stock?
Just curious, more than anything else…

The word from the mothership is 'limited production' @Stephen ... which I'm assuming means that there's some new stock in a get-em-while-you-can kind of way!
