Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Day 69 here and a nice little surprise warm storm blew in last night. About 10" in various locations and a bit heavy, but still fun!
Busy day...Deer Valley! First chair (after ski patrol): Heading up for run #4!
Heavy over bumps was just enough to slow the action down a bit.
All skied out!

Where are the people?
You got to ski all that yourself?
You dog.
February snowed and snowed.
March came, and winter seems over in western Wyoming.
Daytime temps in the mid 40s.
No snow in over two weeks and no snow in the forecast.

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
I know....poor me!
These are intermediate (Deer Valley "Black Diamond?) runs served by a slow triple chair, which people don't like. The first 3 runs or so, I think it's a bit slow. Runs 4-7 are about right and from run 8 on, I'm wondering why they have to run it so fast! Even with the slow chair, I can generally get 11 minute circuits, so I'm pretty happy here!
I have to admit that after a few days in Moab, laying on warm rocks like a lizard, I'm looking forward to spring.

Happy St. Patrick's Day. We are into full blown Spring Conditions below 8000 feet here. The huge storm last week missed us by a few hundred miles but we have lots in reserve.

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
The only relation to skiing is that all that snow is just stored solar energy, waiting to be released come spring.
Notice the surfboard on the shore at time 1:20. My son at Lunch Counter, Snake River, Alpine Canyon on one of our forays north.
Water's going fast enough that it stings when the drops hit your face.
Looking forward to spring!
For the inland surfers!

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
For reasons I don't understand this is going to be a three part post. I'm making this post after I've already made the other two because something is going wrong. These two images should be the first two in the next post, for some reason they aren't, I tried to fix it, but it didn't work, and rather than possibly lose other images, I'm just going to make this post. So read the beginning of the next post with these images in mind.
Not sure if I have other problems in my posts or if that is it. Also apologize if these multi-posts are frowned upon, I doubt I'll ever make another post like this. At least not this year.
