I must admit this sentence was not really clear :? Must have wrote it under the effect of my last concussion as I am still not admitting that I really « suck » at turning skis whatever the skis i try... maybe i should listen to my son and just ski flat groomed tracks... and really keep away from any slopes with the slightest tiny tree
I'd check your temperature while you are at it. Sounds like you are still fully under the influence of tha Asnes GAS virus. I've heard that the most severely infected individuals will come up with the most incredible "reasons" to add every single Asnes ski to their quiver. Good luck!
I live for the Telemark arc....The feeeeeeel.....I ski miles to get to a place where there is guaranteed snow to do the deal....TM

Nice find on the bindings Fred.

As far as scaled skis at the resort, they will work for occasional use. I had some vector bc out yesterday at a resort and had a blast. It was corn snow which is the best conditions for scaled skis. That being said, if I only had a scaled ski in my quiver my next ski would have a waxable base.

I would like to mount them, on V6 or Kom... For YoYo skiing with my Excursion.
Is there anybody who have an opinion about the waxless base (scales under foot) on the groomed piste in the resort ?
Sometimes you need to ski on the groomed to get pow !
All the best for you.
Fred
Sweet shot! You know I'm envious.

Wow! Did not know you liked them so much! We did not read a lot about the Tindan as it does not seem to be very popular... maybe that is why it got axed?! Can you compare it to the Objectives? I wonder how you like them on flatter sections? I know they are not XC ski but I am pretty sure they outclass the Objectives for the « XC » part... They seem to be a quite versatile ski? So Åsnes1922 why did you guys axed it?
The Tindans are not an XC ski in any sense. They are a very alpine go-down ski. Stiff, good pop, aggressive edge hold, and a small sweet spot. High energy, no dampness. I blame the carbon, I think the ski could do without it.

Of course we can put kick wax on anything, and we do and that's fine, but it's a solid, low camber, high rocker, sidewall construction ski. It's a downhill ski.

They are also less forgiving as other skis. The Objective and Tindan cannot be really fairly compared. Two completely different beasts. The Objective is a friendly ski, like an overeager door greeter at your local chain restaurant. The Tindan is the maitre'd at the snooty restaurant in Manhattan and he hates you, but if you slip him a Benjamin he'll make sure you'll get the bottle of Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé A...

Woods, I need to kick and glide to get to my downhills. I broke Trail with a foot of cold powder. I then did four laps. The Tindan has excellent kick and glide in my broken track. It was very similar to the Falketind as far as the kick and glide, however it was much more stable. I have only turned the Tindan in powder, I have made turns with both my Alaska 75 and Ski March. The terrain wasn’t anything super challenging, at the resort it would be honest blue terrain with some trees to make it interesting.
I was going to head to the UP, was even going to ride a chair. Unfortunately my sewer backed up. I couldn’t snake it today, I am going to try and find a camera tomorrow, but I’m pretty sure I will be putting in a sewer next week. At least I know a guy with a dump and a backhoe that thinks he owes me a favor. I think the snow is pretty trashed anyway. The Tindan will need to wait until next year.
