I guess it brings it line with the other skis that are named after the shovel widths... and the "Transnordic" family would tie it in juxtaposition to the "Transalp" ski family... but it's still a big blow. I wonder if the crown version will continue as E99 or become Transnordic 66 Crown? Maybe it goes away like the E-109 Crown? That would be TERRIBLE.

4 decades of uninterrupted E99 naming scheme, and now they ax it? For shame. And a lighter wood core? Lighter than the Xtralite? What and HOW? I already have problems sometimes getting the nose screw to bite into anything...

I can't find anything else. Anyone? We need a Fischer version of Crister on this forum...

This!

Changing the name from 99 to 66 sounds like the devil's work.

This COVID pandemic really is doing something to the nordic BC ski industry....

Heck, Fischer has dudes jumping off cabins on E99/66s over dramatic music.

Did you see those new nordic skimo full length skins? Its a cool idea but the bungee is attached to the skin using a sewn in plastic thingy. Come on!!! Thats going to break in no time.

Looks like they are skipping the EXPLORE binding big splash?

Eih, actually, maybe not:

"There are models available with three different sole standards, so the right tool is available for every job."

hint hint

Don't leave home without your TURNAMIC soles and Comfort Guard Insulation! Give me a break guys, this is the name of a ski?!: "S-Bound 98 Crown / Dual Skin Xtralite"

Ok, i'm starting to sound like an old geezer. Peace out.

I was in love with a ski, but she dumped me, and changed her name so I could never find her again!
I think Fischer has lost it’s way as far as Nordic Skis. However they still are giants of distribution and manufacturing.

That could be 75mm, NNN, and NNN-BC?

Having said that, a BCX6 Xplore could be nice :)

Good God, how many trademarked buzz words can they fit into one name? Marketing budget is larger than the R&D/Engineering/product testing budgets.

TURMANIC TURMANIC. Must have been lost in the woods for too long. Urban cross country ski shoes?

Sounds like Fischer is breaking up with Rottefella. They sole does look neat and compatible. I don't know. I'm not bying into any of this.

Seems like they're trying to skimo up the nordic line, aesthetically anyway. Kinda what Rossi did last year. Cant blame them, Im sure it sells. I like the full skin option, Ill probably be dremeling out my 98s...
I cant imagine they'd drop the crown version on the 99..... I still dont have one....

What did the 99 refer to anyway?
Nordic by nature
Shut up hippie

Will say something even though i don't know nothing.....Been skiing various forms of 99's for 40 years....Figure they wouldn't get rid of the best selling ski of all time.....Different forms.....sure.....Figure i will use the 205's or the 215's today......Still don't know where we are going so will figure that out when we go....See told you I don't know.....TM
