I did a little 2 hour door to door tour in my back yard this morning to Gråkallen mountain while my kid was sleeping.
I used my T4s on the Falketinds. This is an amazingly powerful setup on the way down. A completely different sensation to my leather Crispi Bre, very empowering. I will prefer leathers for longer tours though. It is possible to K&G with the Scarpa T4 but I did feel more restricted than with leathers. Plus I got blisters on the side of both my heels. Perhaps because I did not tighten the bottom of the boot enough to keep my heels secure.

It was -12C, I had a base of Swix Polar with Green Swix from heel to short skin attachments. The wax held up fine, and provided grip comparable to the Waxless E109 Crowns in the old days. I did use a 30mm mohair when the uphill got a bit too steep and this was fine too.
I first climbed up through the clouds and eventually pierced through them.
There was about 50 cm of snow, of which about 30cm were very loose. The Falketind 62s were amazing, I have rarely used skis of any kind so turny. They really wanted to carve, and with the power from the T4s I forgot all about trying to telemark, lol, just carved right down the hill (slope 30-40% max)
I did not use the heel wire, I didnt miss it.

On another thread I just mentioned about the difference the T4 would make with the FT,( with any ski in fact.) I think a lot of XCDers out there are looking to there skis for the control and stability they desire when the results they seek can be found with a stiffer (plastic) boot.

Very sad - yesterday in Mill Creek.

4 skiers, well prepared, died yesterday in Mill Creek Canyon, near Big and Little Cottonwood...

It's been an odd year, with days of sun, followed by wind loaded storms - probably not just in Utah!
We have layers that look there are ball bearings in between them.
Be carful!

If the question was for me, yes! Like it a lot! First day so far. A little getting used to the stiffnes of the NTN boot. But I think it will grow on me.

The skiis are great! Nice carving in piste and good float in the powder. Only tested some turns around the birch trees but it was great! Looking forward to som big white fluffy turns!

Really happy I didnt go for the stiffer Scarpa TX Comp. The TX PRO feels stiff enough for fast skiing on steep pistes with hard snow, like today.

You really feel that the power goes all the way down to the skiis in a different way compared to Scarpa T1 and 75mm Chili bindings. Im not at all tired in my legs compared to the old stuff.
