Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
I actually got to touch, but not ski a set of the mythical Ft 62's on this outing. I was skiing with another forum member and he was cranking great turns with his NNN-BC and Alfa Guard Advance setup. I was on 3 pins and my Objectives, so we couldn't swap skis. With a little coaxing, maybe he will post his initial thoughts.

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
I couldn’t wait to try my new S Bound 98’s today, I’ve had them since October. Any guesses how many face plants I did today going down this hill? Hint: Unconsolidated knee deep pow off the snow machine trail. I figured the little trees would hurt less than the big ones.

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Previous weekend I've done my first off track hike (did some technique training if you could call it that a few times to get the hang of it). Went alone, caught up to a few guys and we went together for a bit; their target was a local hill top and I didn't want to go too far so I returned alone. Had lots of fun and fell a few times going downhill down a trail, went pretty well on the flatter terrain, though.

Still Waiting on the base to come in here in VT.
First two are from the laps we're doing to keep fitness up while the woods fill in.
Last is a little bit of "wish it was deeper" off the side of some (very boney) logging roads.
Got a second wax of the season in yesterday.
Almost TOO slippery.

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Ice from yesterday's fog.
Wolf tracks again. (not sure how old these tracks are, but I was through here two days ago and they weren't there.)
These things never left me, I see new (but not exactly fresh) tracks every 1-7 days, probably averages on once every three days, they just keep going back and fourth northeast/southwest mostly. They obviously live here, and maybe they've been around all summer (I moved here in the spring, but I only lived 20 miles away before), you just don't see their tracks in the summer so you don't think of them as much. And while I have mostly lived in an area with wolves, I've never seen signs of them day after day.
Yesterday I found one track that had followed one of my trails for about a mile before it met up with another wolf (and a road, which they followed some way but I didn't look to see how far), and today I found one had followed my trail for about half a mile after splitting up with another.
This pic is where they entered the bog. The track on the right took a left and followed my trail, whereas the track on the left just kept going straight. Track on the right also seems to be a bigger wolf. I don't know if I said this before, but I think there's actually four wolves and they sometimes come together, sometimes split up. I do have a game camera set up in a spot they've walked through three times now, but they haven't gone through there since I've set it up.
Had something else I wanted to say, forgot what it was.

No new snow, so working on the "carve".
I'm wearing neoprene on my knees now, just for protection against rubbing on the snow.
