Re: Sbounds...leathers
Thinking I will vote tomorrow morning then head for a quick ski before work.
Re: Sbounds...leathers
Thinking head for the Highlands as Little Mountain at Boot's barn had wet snow with powder on top which translated into two to three inches of snow on the bottoms.....Did get three wonderful rounded ones toward the Barn....Two crashes and both had pretty humorous aspects to them.....Get a time and I'll meet you up in the Highlands....See if we can round off some stones up there...TM
Re: Sbounds...leathers
Voted yesterday and with the new snow will head up there and meet you two At the barn....TM
Re: Sbounds...leathers
Always like speculating about snow.....Up at Boots the snow had been on ground that was not surface frozen and man did it stick....Telekid and Teleking got a couple of turns on a steeper section but with my binding on one ski falling off I tried to get back without more damage...Will work on them today....Telekid went to work while the king and I headed to the Highlands....Bout 4 or five inches with faster snow on top and a bit more bulk...Switched my 99's for Telekings BC90's......An ok ski....Ok on the up....ok on the down...ok for getting there....In other words....a mediocre ski that will get you there....99's have so much more energy....Didn't break the bc 90's but hit many rocks...Liked to see Teleking on some wicked no metal edge skinnies....Man didn't need much energy to zip those things up the knob....He too put dents in the skis....But they came around when needed....Biggest bitch was the poles....They have a thinger that attaches one section to the other....That didn't work!!!!!! On the up or down the poles shortened up at the WRONG time...That was difficult in poor conditions....but....we all got some decent turns in....Might try to see whats happening up at the higher end of the Highlands....or not...TM
Re: Sbounds...leathers
feels so good getting out....Started yesterday with blue sky and near 50o....used the 109's and they needed RED wax so put on very little....Top surface had some speed to it but over all....wet snow....Skis went up well but not in the ski tracks set by Teleking in the early morning....East sides had the most snow but stayed mostly on the logging road....What I call early knob because it has access and all kinds of terrain....3-4 inches of wet snow but the 109's have speed in them so it was a very careful ski out...Didn't want to scrape the bottoms to badly...Very careful eye co-ordination.....had to fit with the skis...Fun easy ride with excellent temps and sun....TM
Re: Sbounds...leathers
man, telekid scored a used set of Asolo Extreme's.....45 bucks.....Looking at those Andrews with one buckle....But my three pairs of Leather lace up's while heavy with glue are still functioning...TM

Envy him. I paid $75 for my last used pair 15 years ago. Let me know if any size 12s show up.
Eda dropped a bucket of rain on us; but less than hurricane winds.
She came by Saturday, and has been hanging around all week; just wont go away; can I rename her Trump?

Now now Rock...will have to kick your a..........Figure in a week to 10 days Dead Moose Pond will be frozen....Should have some snow y then....Last year at this time we had snow that lasted the entire season....Hunters couldn't get up Little Mountain so the close to twenty inches was great....Or was that the year before?...Still have five days in and have two sets of skis on sawhorses so I need to get to work...How can you live in a state that voted for orange hair?....Up here you would fit right in with the Trust funders and their ilk and feel groovy...Me I'm heading for the woods....TM

Re: Sbounds...leathers
Teleman, did those new E-109’s make it through last season without breaking? If I remember correctly you were busting up all your rock skis. I know skis aren’t good if you can’t use them, but it sure is nice to have some beaters from thin conditions. It keeps the newer ones from being beaters too quickly.
Re: Sbounds...leathers
The hole they put in the middle of the ski to clamp the skins in is broken plastic now and what with busting my head last (+) year have not quite gotten a year yet.....In other words putting a HOLE in the ski to attach skins with a plastic attachment is also STUPID....On a mission to destroy the 109's and hope I don't do myself in while trashing the 109's....Good in powder they are for the down, but not so good in the bush....TM
