4th
Re: 4th
How do you feel about the "revolutionaries" who are tearing down confederate statues and protesting systemic racism and police violence? I'd rather thank them instead. Our country is a mess thanks to deplorables like you tm. Not a whole lot to celebrate this 4th if you are American what with mishandling of the covid19 crisis and a president who turns a blind eye to bounties being paid by Russia for dead us soldiers.

Re: 4th
Teleman, I hope you had a happy 4th! I believe everyone has the right to speak their minds and beliefs. I also believe rude and uncouth is rude and uncouth.
I grew up in Detroit after the riots. Most Black people hated White people then. Most white people were afraid of white people. When the black guys started coming into my neighborhood, if there was only one guy, you walked by. If there were 3 or more, you tried to avoid them. Sometimes if you or them didn’t see each other, for me it was coming out of the alley, either them or me. They would greet you by asking white boy for a dollar. The correct response was f—k you n——r. It didn’t diffuse the situation, however them knowing you weren’t afraid helped alleviate the numbers advantage. I then ran when I could, fought when I had to. I never got beat up bad, lost my cash only once, but had quite a few bloodied noses and black eyes.
I really came out on top because my cause of self defense was better than their cause of hate.
I started working in Detroit again in the late 90’s after hate destroyed that city. Guess what??? The hate was gone. The black people were happy to a good contractor to work on their properties. I know I and the black people I have worked with were happy to put that racial hate behind us.
I am currently building a facility that will rehabilitate homeless people in a pretty rough neighborhood. My interactions with neighbors are all positive. Why? We all have learned that hate is the problem. That is why Detroit isn’t rioting.
You haters can hate.
I will be thankful to be born in this country. Although I still wonder why my French forefathers just did get of in Quebec???

Fish, I lived and worked in Detroit for years. I am not a racist so I was treated with common respect by the locals black or white. Hate is a by-product of racism and taking advantage of the less fortunate. Your boy teleman is a racist and a phony. He is the problem. I don't think he deserves anything but uncouth responses.

Re: 4th
Hey guys,
I'm just a minor forum user here. Only been to the US once. I liked it a lot. I met a lot of nice people, had a great time. Not once asked about politics. I don't care about who votes what.
I've travelled all over the world for work, including Venezuela, Colombia, Northern African, Asia... Accepting different opinions in many of these places was key to not having a very bad time. In Morocco we had a driver who had bribed his way into a drivers licence because he never learned how to read. Was a nice guy When our van broke down in the middle of nowhere in the heat, we (a group of foreigners, men and women) were provided shelter in the local mosque by the imam who instructed his Coranic students to bring us tea.
I DO care that in this forum we all share a common passion for free heel skiing one way or another, and that we all love the nature outdoors. With that in mind, in the unlikely situation we would ever meet, I think we would probably have a good time together.
So, please focus on these passions we share, and on how we can make the world a better place together Let us not forget that most people (>90% of people probably) want what is best for everyone, the difference is in the interpretation of how to achieve that.
Finger pointing, name calling... these things just take the focus away from this goal. It's bad for this forum, it's bad for us. Please stop. Arguing about politics with strangers is only reinforcing political tribalism.
So, to all US friends, belated happy 4th of July from the capitalist, yet happily democratic socialist state of Norway, which is presently run by the right wing liberal - conservative political party (yes there is such a thing, and even the local communist party agrees that the currently ruling party coalition mostly does a good job). For those of you in difficulties, I sincerely hope your situation improves soon.

I will not accept Trump, Trumpism or Trumpers nor will I allow him, it or them to be normalized into the political discussion. Fighting Trump and the deplorable trash that continues to support him is a matter of moral responsibility and has nothing to do with "politics".
Hey shiteater, you're just straight-up racist garbage, through and through. If I ever meet you, one of us is in for a very bad day. The other one is me.They would greet you by asking white boy for a dollar. The correct response was f—k you n——r.
