Gorilla tape + heel pad = less problems

I've always had problems with my Voile heel pads (3pin cables); the snow was sticking to em as if they were magnets. I decided to try Gorilla tape; Even the anti-ice tape isn't working as good... Voilà.

That is a pita, I have the same problem with my HWs. I have been rubbing polar wax on mine, it doesn't solve the problem but it helps and makes it a lot easier to get the snow off. I have also sprayed them with cooking oil with good results.

I will try the gorilla tape, is it the black stuff?

Mine is white; to my knowledge the black one is the same... There is the clear one which cost more; this one is different. I suspect that it would work ok too.

Can you post a photo of your anti-ice taping?

Are you using the plain old Gorilla 'duct' tape?

I've used this for quite a while. Tape does work also but doesn't cover those hard to reach places where snow can accumulate - especially if you ski switch....on purpose OR by accident! Spray this on, rub it around and let it dry. One can will last years.

That looks like a step up from the cooking spray I've used, especially since it works after it dries. It's probably a good cure for squeaky bindings too.

I had to make some homemade risers out of a hammer handle recently and they never accumulated snow.

That's clever!
But what if you need climbing bars sometimes?

With my Switchback bindings, I find I get ice accumulation under the forefoot, on the toe piece. Not so much on the heel piece.
