Yes, I found that working on my thread was totally waste of time.

Even I would gladly learn the whole NNN/BC thing, but really it's a question of what to spend $$$ on!
But, it seems many(especially over there) Tele with just about the same technique irrespective of gear, so I'll settle for learning your method. I do think that skiing (about any) lighter gear makes skiing heavier stuff much easier.

To ski on slippers, all conditions equally well and at speed , that's the dream!

I used to wear Birkenstocks all the time. I found that they were severely limiting my ability to do anything outdoors except play guitar, smoke pot and drink beer.
I threw them away and bought a new pair of backpacking boots and never looked back.
