I live about 15 minutes from Whaleback (maybe 20minutes from Storrs hill) and I’ve snowboarded there countless times. Good to know I could bring my xcd gear there for some good practice

I’ll definitely look into Northeast Slopes!
I should have added some non-lift served things too

If we get any good snow Mt. Cardigan on the AMC side is not bad either. AT skiers have kind of begun to monopolize the top-to-bottom summit trails, but they tend to ignore the rest of the rather extensive network of ski trails that require some XC work to get to. Basically-- the place can be an XCD paradise. Real ski trails, real fun. It's a place where you can use anything from heavier tele gear to lighter XC stuff and find really nice skiing. Check out the map that the AMC publishes, ignore the top-bottom middle stuff, look to the side of the map, and hit that up as a good place to start.
