Yes, here with a little effort, the bar is popping out of the binding !!! We must turn turn turn VERY carefully, the ZEN of yaw and roll!!! Ankle down, and it must be actively, forcefully held over the ski!!!!


But on the other hand -- well, the same foot I should say..
Maybe 3/8 inch of lateral -- without the springy cables?!

Sometimes I think the whole thing is just a bunch of bullshit. Creating problems to fix problems to make money. A lot of stuff that people don't need that causes more problems. I get it. I hate it sometimes. Maybe academia would be more pure? I doubt it. The grass is always greener. So maybe I should just water my grass... I don't know. Industry is captivating and exciting while at the same time extremely limiting and frustrating. That whole money thing. It really gets in the way of creativity and true progress. Preconceptions get in the way of creativity. Reality gets in the way...

The less the better. I really like to think of Jain monks, who owns absolutely nothing. They do not wear any clothes and carry nothing with them. They eat from their hands and sleep on the floor without blankets. How cool is that?

Anyway, I think now it's all about balance. Balance between fun and work. Between the natural and the artificial. Between love and hate. It can't all be one way or the other... at least not for me. I wish it could, but reality tells me it can't. And balance has made me happier than any drug or philosophy. Not always, but on average it works.

Balance is everything. It's the key to everything: science, physics, the universe, life, spirituality, religion, and even skiing. There's a thing in Buddhism called "The middle way". A way to enlightenment via "The noble eightfold path", avoiding the extremes. I like extremes. I go to extremes myself. While I know balance is the key, it's the most difficult thing for me.

This is great Ron! See, this is what I keep saying, it's PERFECT! No lateral stability, so YOU will have to work your body to ski downhill! You will have to use balance, grace and finesse instead to control the skis. You will learn so much! Isn't that wonderful?!?

I don't get it, if you are so much into lateral control, why don't you switch? See, ZERO lateral torsion, much better than your 3/8":

Johnny, the 3/8 is without the cable attached on the 3pc!
But, for XCD 3/8 is generally no big deal...And I have yet to twist the duckbills out of the baskets in my livingroom -or otherwise .
But, all things considered, skills to ski NNN VERY well downhill are worthwhile for sure!

^^ Not quite, I forgot that the skis must be very stiff-flexing and , at a minimum , 2 feet longer than the skier's height and no wider in the mids than 60mm!
