Hello Dell,
I went in a different direction than the Objective. I went skinnier, hopefully it will provide good performance in leather at my northern Michigan lift served dune. It also has a wax pocket, for dune touring. How is it going to ski? I don't know, I will have to wait for my Norwegian mail order bride (skis) to arrive from Germany. I hope they are a match made in heaven for Michigan dunes, and the Huron Mts too
I'm another disciple of the Objectives, having now skied them a few times... once with Excursions, couple times with Alaskas. I was hard pressed to choose between waxable or waxless. Went with the waxless (first waxless I've ever bought), but I know I'd love a pair of waxables, my usual preference.
Hard to imagine a more versatile, sweeter ski for all-around here.
I'd like to hear more about the G3's, but kinda sounds like they're a little more oriented to the down.
I got the 164's. I'm pretty scrawny (5'7", around 130lbs). Not in great shape, but active. Pushing 64. "Expert" skier... not that I'm gifted, but skiing since I was 2 years old, east and west, nordic, alpine, xcd, tele, etc. The camber on the Objectives seems perfect so far.
I'm skiing 'em with the Bulldoggs (Spike 3-pins), which have an integrated riser. Work perfectly so far, both with Excursions and Alaskas.
