that blister picture is frightening! If the boots don't fit you're screwed. Heel lift is devastating. Something like an Alico Double could ravage your foot if it doesn't fit properly. But if it does…the leather in the foot/toe area is the best feel. I put on my Antarctic recently which had 50+ days last year, lacing the foot part tight felt like putting on old slippers - buttah! They're as comfortable as a pair of high-top basketball sneakers.

Obviously one has to "break in" one's boots.....Once done on anybody's scale leather is better than bulk plastic....Say what you wish connie-man....but not recognizing reality is kinda stupit....TM

Wow, you are a real gem TM! "Don't waste your time on comfort" is "stupit". I think you're just upset because your silly friend got banned (again!), so you come over here to try to provoke...poorly I might add. Have fun flopping gramps!

Oh c'mon Bruce. He skis plastic and leather. Has a pair of modern leather NNN boots that most of us have.

He's just on you because you have a strong opinion in one direction. Free your mind a bit. Open up.

"Free the heel, free the mind" We all can have our own opinions and express them without putting down others. I don't know why Tman intentionally stirred the pot today especially after saying goodbye over at T east.

Don't waste your time on comfort.....duh.....leather vs. plastic...If you don't admit leather as the more comfortable, then there is no hope or intellectual honesty on this site.....I suppose someone with no feeling in their feet would write something but good gawd.....really....plastic is more comfortable than leather....Unreal.....And all our rigs are less than 10 lbs unless heading for a downhill area which except for a brief interruption out in North Idaho doesn't happen for most of us.....BC is off the register better than DH for getting the goods...Ski with mean connie man can't get over that.....Lord! I think you should weigh your skis and boots Tman. I bet they are more like 12lb if you are using old 215cm E99s and Andrew boots.

10 lbs is pretty damn light for BC Nordic stuff. My 205 E89 setup is likely lighter than anything you guys ski on and that's just under 10lbs. I know my boots weigh less. I also wouldn't ski them on mountainous terrain.

I'm not sure anyone said plastic is more comfortable than leather, but some people really do like plastic boots better. And for sure an ill-fitting leather boot can cause some horrible pain. We all know you like leather boots. So do I. I get a lot of flack for that but my feet suck.

I don't want to argue with you though. If you want to start a fight, then this is not going to end well, I promise you that. If you want to talk and share your opinion and converse with people without getting upset, then I think it will be OK.

Mike....I have three sets of leather boots with the Andrews being the heaviest.....Ski swap lace up's, pretty lite, 205 e99's 178 109's, 179 Rebounds, Noodles @ fing heavy @193, 215 e99's....several gts in varying sizes 20 sets of Asnes or Bonna Or Kornigsburg wooden skis at who the hell knows.....The Rebounds were a 4 lb. ski....three pins @ 11 oz... I don't question your stats on your weight why question mine?....My go to rigs ARE WELL BELOW 10 lbs....Sorry if that doesn't compute in your world of standards....Tele people are not assembly line skiers....TM
