And Al, you have to believe me when I say I don't care what or how you ski.

I have to deal with infestations of this place now and again, and while it may look like I'm trashing what these people have to say, it's not the case. It's that they lost their right to say something here. If you guys want Ron or his 'cronies' back, I can let them back. He'll come back to this place in a heartbeat. It will be exactly like therealtelemarktips.

Anyway you seem to be legit, as do most other people here. If we all had the exact same opinions on everything, this place would be pretty boring.

Mike, you like (some) provocation once in a while... As a moderator, you should be on the moderate side. And I am with Al about one thing: sometimes (not always), your talking seems to go beyond your experience... Just an honest point of view... Not saying that I do not like most of your posts...

I'm a human, not a machine. My bias is obvious. I'm very obviously biased to the most middle ground of XCD. I cannot change that, and I did not ask to be a moderator.

I'd be more than happy to retract any statement I have said that I didn't make based on some engineering assessment, some other reference, or my own or my wife's experience. I do my best to include references as to how I draw my conclusions.

I often talk about things on here I have:

1 - tried myself
2 - my wife has tried
3 - I have read a great deal about and am simply conveying what I read
4 - I have talked with other individuals first hand or in forums
5 - have formed opinions on based on engineering assessment

I try to make very clear which of the 5 sources I am speaking of. All of them have sources of error. Even 1, which some seem to hold very close to them is full of potential error.

I'll also say that my opinions or conclusions often change from learning things from people on this forum. I never mean to play favorites to anyone (and I've never banned, deleted or even scolded anyone but Ron and Aaron's BS) but sometimes I agree with their assessment or experience. Don't take any of that to be gospel.

I also joke around, because well, I'm not a machine. So you'll have to decide whether I'm describing something in earnest or just being a clown.

Hey, this is like an extension of the great Ingstad/e109/eon thread

Fischer does make the e109 in a wax base with the easy skin, and they still have 200 cm available online in Canada - but they are super pricey online - see: http://www.fischersports.ca/p/e109-easy-skin-xtralite

Sorry Mike, but my review of the Ingstad is going to be a bit yet. Hoping to get an okay from the doctor on Friday about skiing again, plus I need to get some half decent NNN BC boots to give it a fair trail. And, having said all that, I don't have a background with a lot of different skis to compare it too... I'll try my best, but you might want to take whatever I will have to say about their performance with a grain of salt... I'll reiterate though that the construction seems top notch - nicely made skis, for sure, including the integrated skin.

Tom
Yeah sorry, all this other crap made me think about skiing, which I've been missing quite a bit.

I'm just teasing. I hope you will provide your feedback, because any information is more than the information we have now.

Good luck with the Doc. Hopefully you get out soon!
