Beware the Ides.

So the skis fit inside the inflatable kayaks?

They are packrafts, and yes, the skis go inside.
This was a quick shakedown cruise to test a few ideas in advance of a multi-day, multi-river trip coming up in a few weeks.

Nice report!
I hadn't thought about skis inside. What length are you getting away with. Are you paddling a Wolverine? I have a red Expedition and now a few ideas in my head. I've got Madshus Annums 175 cm and Voile Vectors 170 cm, both with inserts and a choice of 3-pin or Rivas, and additional inserts for Dynafit on the Vectors.

Re: Beware the Ides.
Those are 178 Objectives that I stuck in my boat.
It's an early prototype of the new Valkyrie, so I don't really know how to compare it in size to your Expedition.
My guess is either of your skis will fit, but it takes some doing to get them in just the right place so that neither tips nor tails are poking into the tube fabric.
Have fun with it!
